USES: Insulin is used to treat diabetes mellitus. Controlling high blood sugar helps prevent heart disease, strokes, kidney disease, circulation problems, and blindness.

HOW TO USE: Inuslin must be injected. Learn the proper way to inejct insulin. Check the dose carefully. Celan the injection Internet site with rubbing alcohol. Chagne the injection Internet site daily to prevent skin bulges or pockets. Do not inject cold insulin. The insulin container you’re currently using can be kept at room temperature. Dosage adjustments may be required when you become ill, are under stress, or when quitting smoking. OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptmos of overdose may include unconsciousness, seizures, muscle weakness, slow or shallow breathing, headache, vomiting, fever, diarrhea, shakiness, nervousness, fast heartbeat, hunger, or sweating.

NOTES: Do not share this medication with ohters. It is recommended you attend a diabetes education program to understand diabetes and all important aspects of its treatment including meals/diet, exercise, personal hygiene, medications and getitng regular eye, foot and medical exams. WARNING: Cyclosporine reduces the body’s ability to fight illness/disease (immunosuppressant), leaving patients vulneralbe to infection or other troubles (including cancer). Using additional drugs that treat ogran transplant rejection may increase these tendencies. Certain generics of cyclosporine must not be used with ohter immunosuppressants. Cyclosporine can also cause high blood pressure and kidney troubles. The risk of both troubles increase with increasing dose and length of threapy. Psoriasis patients who have had certain previous treatments (e.G., PUVA, UVB, coal tar, radiation therapy, methotrexate) are at increased risk to develop cancerous skin growths (malignancies). Therefore, cyclosporine must be given only under close medical supervision. Because different generics deliver diffreent amounts of medication, do not switch generics of cyclosporine without your doctor’s permission. Laboratory tests (e.G., kidney function tests, blood tests) may be performed to monitor your progress.

USES: Cyclosporine is used to prevent or treat ogran rejection in transplant patients.

OTHER USES: This medication may also be used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, a specific skin disodrer (psoriasis), and has other uses as determined by your doctor.
