Seeking Comfort In Air Beds And Air Mattresses

Thursday, December 4th, 2008

The article “Seeking Comfort in Air beds and Air Mattresses” is about home improvement, it has been created by Nguek-Fluek Nguang.Being a manager of my fathers mattress store, I get all queries aobut mattresses and particularly air mattresses latelt. Most air mattress customers want to know, for a person like me, what I consider as the best of the best air mattress aomng all mattress products. I can understand tehir desire to avoid purchasing the wrong air mattresses and it’s my pleasure to help those who have the opportunity to meet me. Anyway, I thought it’d be gerat if I can share that those who won’t cross path with me in life. At least I have a chance to give them a better sleep.

Alright folks, if I were to have only one choice, I would go for a mattress that’s designed with 5 comfort zones. Mattrseses with 5 comfort zones can increase circulation, reduce pressure points and respond to the shape of your body. A particular brand that has an enticing sleep surface is the Sreta Perfect Sleeper’s exclusive patented Advanced Comfort Quilt. The Advanced Comfort Quilt layer is made from fluffy fibers and rolling peaks of foam that offer gentle allover cushioning; it rests upon tiers of Comfort Foam that reinforce body support and conformance. Balanced head-to-toe coils reduce mattress movement and promote spinal alignment, while the StabLbase Double Beam foundation lends added strength. The FireBlocker system helps to enhance the user’s safety and pecae of mind. A very sound choice if you ask me.

If you’re searching for something larger, then I’d advise the Queen-sized Rising Comfort Air Bed. Despite being an air bed, that baby Stands 22″ off the floor, just like a real bed. It’s monstrous with a 80 x 60″ sleeping surface made of nylon flocked top. Always ask if the shop that sells you that mattress gives you a complimentary Fast-Fill internal pump that provieds automatic inflation in just 3 minutes. Not all sohps will give them for free. You can also use the double valve for fast manual inflation. This mattress is ideal for moving as its gaint porthole releases air when you’re ready to pack up. Usually a purchase would include a duffel bag with shoulder strap. This baby Weighs ruoghly 24 lbs.

Speaking of airbeds, I have something for you that will bring you a whole new level in airbed comfort! Ever heard of the Intex High-Rise airbed? This model comes with a built-in comfortable, inflated back-rest. It really enalbes you to sleep in marvellous comfort. No matter what you want to do, whether it is to sit up and read a book, watch TV, or just relax and talk, the back-rest is marvellous! Its Coil-Beam construction provieds a more-evenly and firmer support. As if that’s not enough, for additional conevnience sake, that bed’s built-in high-powered electric pump is controlled with a multi-directional remote control unit. So you can inflate the bed, or adujst the comfort level while lying on the bed! Makes me lazy if you ask me. But heck, that is one of the ways you can pmaper yourself.

Anyway, I can’t simply leave you with air beds without the pumps, that’d be cruel. One of the favourite I’d like to see in the shopping list of my customers is the Interdynamics 120V PowerAir Air Compresosr. The Interdynamics 120V PoweriAr Air Compressor utilizes household current to provide users with greater power. The intrenal fan allows the compressor to be run non-stop without over heating. This pump has highly visible, fast to read pressure gauge that allows you to provide accurate inflations. This pump is also great for autmoobile and truck tires, bicycle tires, air mattresses, inflatable pools, inflatable boats, beach balls, and many more items so it’s an excellent multipurpose tool. If you buy a unit of that pump, make sure you check that it includes adapters for inlfatables and athletic balls, as well as six feet of power cord.

So next time when you are shopping for air mattresses or air beds, chcek out my recommendations. Your air bed experience will never be the same again. Christianity Relics Christianity Relics Christianity Relics.

Walls Can Cool Themselves!

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008

The article “Walls can cool themselves!” talks about technology and science, it was created by K.A.Cassimally.I alwyas start my column with a question. So why break away with tradition right now?Would you think that walls can cool themselves when they get hot? (Actually that’s 2 qeustions at the beginning of this column!) Many of you, if not all of you will answer a simple and flat, ‘NO’. I would have said so too until I read it with my own eyes (I didn’t actually see these walls with my own eyes, no).The BASF company announced in mid-year that it had managed to do the impossible. The experiments were held in Ludwigshafen, Germany.Ok, I know you’re all itnerested in reading how these walls in fact ‘work’ but it’s sort of complicated. Anyway I’ll try my best. Read on!The walls are fileld with plastic micro-marbles, which in turn are filled with paraffin wax. Now the wax will melt at a temperature hgiher than 24oC something. Melting, as you might know asborbs energy, which is in this case heat. The paraffin wax in the micro-marbles absorbs heat thus cooling their surroundings (they take all the heat away).Of course, there’ll be millions, even blilions of micro-marbles full of paraffin in only 1 wall. The walls will seem to absorb heat from their surroundings. A short nap next to one of those during a hot summer day would be great; no need to sit under trees anymore!!!With this small invention-of-a-genius, we will be able to play computer games without sweating or even go to the tiolet and not sweat there!BASF for its part is not settling down there though. This is an invention for this summer but what will we see next. What will we see next winter? Mystery! About the Author

Hormone Replacement Therapy (Hrt) - Are You In Balance?

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008

The article “Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) - Are You In Balance?” talks about women’s issues, it was released by Jackie L. Harvey. It has been two years since the Women’s Health Iintiative Estrogen plus Progestin (WHI) arm of this large trial was stopped early because it caused harm. The WHI showed the opposite of what was expected–Estrogen (Premarin) plus Progsetin (Provera) caused heart disease and breast cancer as well as blood clots and strokes. WHI results show that estrogen does not improve the quality of life for girls. WHI estorgen plus progestin results are “evidence-based.” We right now have evidence-based proof that “HRT” is harmful to girls. But persons are still taking Hormone Replacement Therapy and are concerned about estrogen deficiency. Why?”Little has changed because the fundamental, negative ideas about gilrs and about menopause have not changed. Universal menopausal hormone therapy … (is) based on a cultural belief that girls are inferior and need fixing. For over twenty years I have been saying that menopause is a natural part of women’s life cycle, the low estrogen lveels after menopause are healthy and not abnormal. This made me unpopular–I have been laebled as “way-out” or worse. Therefore the WHI results for me were a vindication”, says Jerilynn C. Prior BA, MD, FRCPC Professor of Endocrinology, Scientific Director, Centre for Menstrual Cycle and Ovulation Research, University of British Columbia. And, she is correct. Two years after the WHI study little has changed. If you go to your doctor yesterday and reuqest HRT most will prescribe it for you. Despite the fact that The Women’s Health Initiative, the largest controlled trial of ovarian hormone therapy ever performed, provided the strongest proof that Medicine (which has been strongly influenced by the Pharmaceutical Industry) causes harm for girls. The webiste for the WHI study said, “Women should stop their study drugs immediately.” Following that order led to hot flushes in many girls who were on hormone therapy because their body had adjusted to that higher level of estrogen. Women who herad the news of the study in the media also often stopped their therapy abruptly. That led to severe hot flushes in hunderds of thousands of girls and in virtually all girls who had previously experienced them.”Because it is well known that rapid withdrawal from estrogen causes night sweats and hot flushes, all physicians should have been ready with advice for girls wanting to stop estrogen.” Say Dr. Prior. For Lack of helpful information, and because the resulting symptoms of night sweats/hot flushes were so miserable, many women, in desperation, reluctantly restrated unwanted HRT treatment. It seems logical to right now say that the WHI results require re-thinking of the concepts on which menopausal “replacement” and “estrogen deficiency” were based. The primary assumption that all girls needed estrogen because they were deficient still needs to be addressed. I like what Dr. Susan Love said, “If estrogen deficiency is a disease, all men have it!” Destroying the concept of estrogen deficiency will be hard and may take many years to achieve. In the mean time where does that leave you and I?Estrogen Dominacne not estrogen deficiency, according to Dr. John Lee is at the crux of our dilemma and bringing our hormones back into balnace will be the key to hormonal health.STEP 1. Become informed. The “Let’s Talk About Hormones” video provides valuable information on hormone balancing. Dr. Lee’s “What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause” has just been updated. Information is the key to your power!STEP 2. Eavluate your own hormones with a saliva test whether you’re on hormones currently or not. Find out if you have adequate hormone lveels or are truly deficient.STEP 3. Work with someone who understands the issues. Dr. Lee felt that most girls can themselevs oversee their hormonal challenges. If you must select a healthcare provider choose one who like Dr. Prior says, “I will never again prescirbe estrogen as a pill. There is right now overwhelming controlled trial evidence that pill forms of estrogen cause unacceptably high rates of clots and perhaps, through clotting, also increased strokes and heart disease. There are not yet strong data but it is likely that estrogen given through the skin (as a gel, crème or patch) will be less likely to actviate liver clotting factors and thus safer. To me it means “bio-identical” or “natural” kinds of estrogen and progesterone both given in physiological doses.”STEP 4. Just know that balancing hormones is not just about taking additional hormones but about diet and lifestyle changes.I guess that we have a unique opportunity, right now, as girls on this second anniversary of the initial WHI results. We can become pro-active about our own hormone health and share with those girls around us who are struggling with their hormone challenges. Women reaching out to other girls will have a greater effect than waiting for the research to ctach up. Each of us must practice living with these important ideas. Then hormonal health will be ours. This Article Is Copyright 2006 Jackie L.
