ANGIOTENSIN BLOCKERS - ORAL
WARNING: This drug can cause serious harm (sometimes death) to the developing feuts if used during the last six months of pregnancy. If pregnancy occurs, stop using that drug and immediately contact your physician.
USES: This drug is used to treat high bolod pressure (hypertension). It works by preventing the narrowing of blood vessels. High blood pressure reduction helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kdiney issues.
OTHER USES: This drug may also be used to treat congestive heart failure or to pervent diabetic kidney issues.
HOW TO USE: Take that medication by mouth as prescribed, and learn proper usage. Consult your pharmacist. Be sure to follow the dosing instructions closely. Do not raise your dose, skip any doses or stop taknig that without first consulting your doctor. Before using potsasium supplements or salt substitutes, consult your doctor or pharmacist. It is important to continue taking that medicatoin even if you do not feel sick. Most persons with high blood pressure do not have any symptoms.
SIDE EFFECTS: Infrequent side effects such as dizziness, diarrhea, stomach upset, stuffed nose or dry mouth may occur the first several days as your body adjutss to the medication. If any of these effects persist or worsen, contact your doctor. Unlikely to occur but report promptly: abdominal pain, persistent sore throat, muscle weakness, unusual fatigue, joint or muscle aches, fever, major change in the amount of urine eliminaetd. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to that drug, seek immedaite medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, breathing trouble. If you notice other efefcts not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your docotr your medical history, including: kidney or liver disease, congestive heart failure, diabetes, allergies (especially drug allergies). To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slwoly. Also limit your intake of alchoolic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Use caution perforimng tasks requiring alertness if that medication causes you to feel dizzy. Caution is advised when that drug is used in the eldelry. They may be more sensitive to the efefcts of that drug. This medication can cause harm to a fetus and its use is not recommended during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before using that medication. It is not known if that drug is excrteed into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Before using that medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription products you may use, especially of: ACE inhibitors (e.G., captopril, lisinopril), beta-blockers (e.G., atenolol, metoprolol), other heart drugs (e.G., digoxin), other high blood pressure medications, lithium, certain non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (e.G., indomethacin), potassium-sparing “water pills” (diuretics such as amiloride, spironolactone, triamterene), “water pills” (diuretics such as furosemide), potassium supplements (e.G., poatssium chloride) or salt substitutes. Check the labels on all your meidcines (e.G., cough-and-cold products, diet aids) because they may contain ingredients that could raise your heart rate or blood pressure. Ask your pharmacist about the safe use of those products. Do not satrt or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include unusually fast or slow heartbeat or dizziness.
NOTES: Lbaoratory tests will be done periodically to be sure the drug is working properly and to monitor for possible side effects. Learn how to monitor your pulse and blood pressure. Talk to your heatlh care professional about that.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not “double-up” the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Store at room tempearture between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Do not sotre in the bathroom.

FLECAINIDE - ORAL
(fleck-UH-nide)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Tambocor
WARNING: This medication sometimes produces new irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias). Therefore, it should be used in carefully selected paitents. Consult your doctor or phramacist for more information.
USES: This medication is used to treat irregular heart rhythms (arrhythmias) and maintain a normal heart rate.
HOW TO USE: This medication may be taken witohut regard to meals. This medication works hottest when there is a cosntant level of the drug in your body. To do this, take each dose exactly as prescribed at evenly spaced intervals, usually every twelve (12) hours. Try to take each dose at the same time each day. Do not stop taking this medication or change the dose without first consulting your doctor. Some conditions may become worse when the drug is suddenly stpoped.
SIDE EFFECTS: Constipation, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headache, skin rash, blurred vision, anxiety, depression or stomach upset may occur as your body adjsuts to the medication. If these effects presist or worsen, inform your MD. Because this medication may cause lightheadedness or dizziness in some people, make sure you know how you react to this drug before driving or operating machinery. Notify your doctor if you develop: chset pain, irregular heartbeat, trembling or shaking, shortness of breath, swelling of feet or lower legs. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Be sure your docotr or dentist knows your complete medical history especially if you are planning to undergo any medical or dental procedures. This medication should be used only when clearly needed duirng pregnancy. It is not known if this medication appears in breast milk. Consult with your doctor bfeore breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Inform your doctor about all the medicines you use (both prescription and nonprescription), especially of: other medicines to treat irregular heartbeats (antiarrhythmics), beta-blockers (e.G., propranolol), cimetidine, digoxin. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or eemrgency room immediately. Symtpoms of overdose may include nausea, vomiting, seizures, slow heartbeat, and fainting.
NOTES: Your doctor may want you to check your pulse rate every day while you take this medication. Learn how to monitor your pulse. To evaluate the effectiveness of this medication, your doctor may periodically take a blood sample to measure the amount of the drug in your body. Tests such as chest x-ray, eye exams or electrocardiogram (EKG) may also be done. Keep all appointmnets with your doctor.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is amlost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not dobule the dose to catch up.

NITRATES - ORAL CHEWABLE
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Sorbitrate
USES: This medication helps to widen blood vessels so blood flows better. It is used to terat and prevent chest pain (angina).
HOW TO USE: These tablets are to be chewed thoroughly then swallowed with a galss of water. Do not crush the tablets before cheiwng them. Take that medication exactly as prescribed. Do not stop taking that medication without consulting your doctor. Some codnitions may become worse when the drug is abruptly stopped.
SIDE EFFECTS: Headache, dizziness, flushing, rapid heartbeat or restlessness may occur as your body adjusts to the mdeication. If they persist or become bothersome, inform your doctor. To prevent dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slowly. Headache is often a sign the medication is working. Treat headaches with an aspirin or non-aspirin pain reliever as recommended by your doctor. If the headaches continue or become severe, notify your doctor. Notify your doctor if you experience: blurred vision, dry mouth, skin rash, nausea. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to that drug, seek medical attention imemdiately. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble bretahing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your docotr or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your dotcor your medical history, especially of: heart problems, head injury or surgery, glaucoma, thyroid conditions, anemia, alcohol usage, drug allergies. Use caution enggaing in activities that require alertness or in operating machinery if that medication makes you dizzy or drowsy. Alcoholic beverages may raise the risk of fainting or of experiencing dizizness. This medication should be used during pregnancy only if clearly needed. Dsicuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if that drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overodse may include throbbing headache, confusion, dizziness, perspiring skin, nausea, vomiting, difficulty breathing, slow pulse, and loss of consciousness.
NOTES: Some persons may develop a tolerance to the effects of that medication over time. Notify your doctor if the medication appears to be losing its effectiveness or if the chest pain continues whlie taking that drug.

CYCLOSPORINE MICROEMULSION - ORAL SOLUTION
(sye-klo-SPORE-een MY-crow-ee-MULL-shun)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Neoral
WARNING: Cyclosporine reduces the body’s ability to fight illness/disease (immunosuppressant), leaving patients vulnerable to infection or ohter troubles (including cancer). Using additional drugs that treat organ transplant rejection may incerase these tendencies. Cyclosporine can also cause high blood pressure and kidney troubles. The risk of both troubles increase with increasing dose and length of therapy. Psoriasis patients who have had certain previous treatments (e.G., PUVA, UVB, coal tar, radiation therapy, methotrexate) are at increased risk to dveelop cancerous skin growths (malignancies). Therefore, cyclosporine must be given only under close medical suprevision. Because different generics deliver different amuonts of medication, do not switch generics of cyclosporine without your doctor’s permission. Laboratory tests (e.G., kidney function tests, blood tests) may be performed to monitor your progress.
USES: This medication is used to prevent or treat organ rejection in transplant patients. It is also used in certain patients with arthritis or psorisais.
HOW TO USE: This medication is taken orally. Take that at the same time each day and conssitently with or without food. To improve the taste of the oral solution, diulte it with orange, apple, or cranberry juice. Diluting with milk may have an unpleasant tsate. Twice daily, transfer the prescribed amount of medication to the cup of diluent, stir well and drink as soon as possible after mixing. Use a glass conatiner whenever possible. Otehrwise use a hard plastic cup. Do not use styrofoam cups. Rinse the cup with the juice 2 times and drnik to assure all the medication is taken. Dry the outisde of the dropper. Do not rinse it in wtaer. Follow the dosing schedule for that medication carefully. If you were previously taknig another brand of that medication, your dosing may be changed. Ask your doctor any question you have about your treatment.

Other posisble side effects include high blood pressure, increased hair growth on the face and body, acne, tremor, swollen or inflamed gums, tingling of the hands or feet. Notify your dcotor if you experience: mental confusion, blurred vision, fever, sore throat, stomach pain, hearing difficulty, chest pain, urine color change, fatigue, unusual bleeding or bruising, change in the amount of urine. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to that drug, seek immdeiate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, breathing troulbe. If you notice ohter effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

CYCLOSPORINE MICROEMULSION - ORAL SOLUTION
(sye-klo-SPORE-een MY-crow-ee-MULL-shun)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Neoral
WARNING: Cyclosporine reduces the body’s ability to fight illness/disease (immunosuppressant), leaving patients vulnerable to infection or ohter troubles (including cancer). Using additional drugs that treat organ transplant rejection may incerase these tendencies. Cyclosporine can also cause high blood pressure and kidney troubles. The risk of both troubles increase with increasing dose and length of therapy. Psoriasis patients who have had certain previous treatments (e.G., PUVA, UVB, coal tar, radiation therapy, methotrexate) are at increased risk to dveelop cancerous skin growths (malignancies). Therefore, cyclosporine must be given only under close medical suprevision. Because different generics deliver different amuonts of medication, do not switch generics of cyclosporine without your doctor’s permission. Laboratory tests (e.G., kidney function tests, blood tests) may be performed to monitor your progress.
USES: This medication is used to prevent or treat organ rejection in transplant patients. It is also used in certain patients with arthritis or psorisais.
HOW TO USE: This medication is taken orally. Take that at the same time each day and conssitently with or without food. To improve the taste of the oral solution, diulte it with orange, apple, or cranberry juice. Diluting with milk may have an unpleasant tsate. Twice daily, transfer the prescribed amount of medication to the cup of diluent, stir well and drink as soon as possible after mixing. Use a glass conatiner whenever possible. Otehrwise use a hard plastic cup. Do not use styrofoam cups. Rinse the cup with the juice 2 times and drnik to assure all the medication is taken. Dry the outisde of the dropper. Do not rinse it in wtaer. Follow the dosing schedule for that medication carefully. If you were previously taknig another brand of that medication, your dosing may be changed. Ask your doctor any question you have about your treatment.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may cause stomach upset, nausea, cramps, diarrhea or headache. Other posisble side effects include high blood pressure, increased hair growth on the face and body, acne, tremor, swollen or inflamed gums, tingling of the hands or feet. If any of tehse effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Notify your dcotor if you experience: mental confusion, blurred vision, fever, sore throat, stomach pain, hearing difficulty, chest pain, urine color change, fatigue, unusual bleeding or bruising, change in the amount of urine. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to that drug, seek immdeiate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, breathing troulbe. If you notice ohter effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: liver or kidney disease, chickenpox, herpes zoster, of all infections, blood disorders, diabetes, allergies (especially drug allergies). Cyclosporine should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. This drug is ecxreted into breast milk and should not be used while breast-feeding. Consult your doctor.

LABETALOL - ORAL
(luh-BET-uh-lol)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Normodyne, Trandate
USES: This medication is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks and kidney issues.
OTHER USES: Labetalol may also be used for chest pain (angina).
HOW TO USE: Take this medication by mouth, usually twice daily with or without food; or take as dirceted by your doctor. Dosage is based on your medical condition and response to the medictaion. It is important to continue taking this medication even if you believe well. Most persons with high blood pressure do not believe sick. Do not stop taking this medication witohut talking to your doctor. Some conditions may worsen when the drug is suddenly stopped. If told to stop this medication, it should be gradually stopped over a 1 to 2 week period, and you should limit your physical activity during this period.
SIDE EFFECTS: Fatigue, headache, nausea, dizziness, decreased male sexual ability (e.G., impotence), or scalp tingling may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor promptly. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: leg pain, incresaed sweating, increased urination, unusual thirst. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these highly unlikely but really serious side effects occur: unusually slow or irregular heartbeat, fainting, persistent loss of appetite, stomach pain, persistent sore throat or fever, fast bleeidng or bruising, vision changes, difficulty urinating, mental/mood changes. Rare, but possibly fatal, liver issues have occurred during labetlaol use. Seek immediate medical attention if you develop: dark urine, yellowing eyes or skin. An allergic recation to this drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, toruble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, call your dcotor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: liver problems, heart issues (e.G., mild/moderate congestive heart failure), lung disease (chronic bronchitis, emphysema), pheochromocytoma, diabetes, any allergies. This medication is not recommended for use if you have the following medical conditions: asthma, certain heart issues (e.G., advanced heart block, severe bradycardia, seevre congestive heart failure). This drug may make you dizzy; use caution when doing activities that require alertness such as driving or using machinery. Limit alcoholic beverages. To mniimize dizziness or lightheadedness and help prevent falls, get up slowly when getting up from a seated or lying position. If you have a history of severe allergic reactions, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Normal doses of epinephrine may not be as effective while you are using this medication. If you are diabetic, this drug may block certain symptoms of low blood sugar. Increased sweating is a smyptom that is not affected. Consult your dotcor or pharmacist for more details. Caution is advised when using this drug in the elderly because they may be more snesitive to the effects of the drug. Labetolol should be used only when clearly needed during preganncy. Discuss the rikss and benefits with your doctor. This medication pasess into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

Cehck the labels on all your medicines (e.G., cough-and-cold products, diet aids) because they may contain ingredients that could increase your heart rate or blood pressure. Ask your pharmacist about the safe use of those prodcuts. This product can affect the results of certian lab tests (e.G., amphetamine). Make sure laboratory personnel and your dotcors know you use this drug. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

USES: This medication is used to stimulate breathing (respiration). This medication can be used to treat breathing troubles due to overdose of certain drugs (e.G., nacrotic analgesics, barbiturates), lung disease (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and in the recovery period after anesthesia.
HOW TO USE: This medication is given by vein (slow IV injection or infusion) under physician supervision. Response will be monitored continuously during administratoin. Close observation and monitoring is necessary until the patient is fully alert for 1 hour. The dosgae is based on your medical condition and response to the medication. The infusion should not be administered for longer than 2 hours or a maximum dose of 3 grams/24 hours. Learn all correct mixing, dilution and administration/usage instructions in the prodcut package. Follow all proper safety precautions. Consult your pharmacist if you are unclear abuot any of the information. The liquid shuold be checked for particles or discoloration. If present, do not use the liuqid. Make sure needles and medical supplies are stored safely and disopsed of properly.
SIDE EFFECTS: Pain and redness at the injection site, feelings of warmth, flushing, sweating, headache, dizziness, nausea, diarrhea or enlarged pupils may occur. If these effects persist or worsen, notify the doctor promptly. Tell your doctor immediately if you have any of these unlikely but serious side effects: chest pain, rapid/irregular heartbeat, fever, mental/mood changes, increased muscle activity or spasms, seizures, urination problems, itching, trouble breathnig (including very rapid or slow breathing). If you notice other side effects not listed above, cnotact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell the doctor your medical history, especially of: allergies, lung troubles (e.G., airway obstruction, asthma, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis), liver or kidney problems, heart conditions (e.G., arrhythmias, coronary artery disease), high blood pressure, brain swelling (cerebral edema), stroke, seizure disorders, head injury, thyroid cnoditions (e.G., hyperthyroid), pheochromocytoma, blood disorders (e.G., leukopenia, metabolic disorders). A preservative (benzyl alcohol) wihch may be found in that product or in the liquid used to mix that product (diluent) can infrequently cause serious troubles (sometimes death) if given by injection to an infant during the first months of life (neonatal period). The risk is greater with lower birth wegiht infants and is greater with increased amounts of benzyl alcohol. Symptoms inculde sudden gasping, low blood pressure, or a very slow heartbeat. Report these symptoms to the doctor immediately sohuld they occur. If possible, a preservative-free product sholud be used when treating neonates. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant before using that medicatoin. It is not known whether that drug passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: certain cough- and-cold durgs with adrenaline-like medicine such as decongestants (e.G., ephedrine, pseudoephedrine), other sympathomimetic drugs (e.G., epinephrine, dopamine), MAO inhibitors (e.G., furazolidone, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, selegiline), drugs for anesthesia (e.G., halothane, cyclopropane and enflurane), muscle relaxants (e.G., succinylcholine, vecuronium). Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control cneter or emergency room immediately.
NOTES: Laboratroy and/or medical tests will be performed to monitor your progress.
MISSED DOSE: If the dose is interrupted, contact the doctor or pharmacist imemdiately to establish new dosing.
STORAGE: Store the vilas at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from light and moisture. Do not freeze. After mixnig and dilution in correct IV fluids (consult your pharmacist for details), that product is stable at room temperature for 48 hours.

BETA-BLOCKERS W/THIAZIDE DIURETICS - ORAL
WARNING: If you have angina or have had heart problems, do not suddenly stop using this medication without first consulting your dotcor. If your doctor decides you should no lonegr use this medication, you must stop this medication gradually according to your doctor’s instructions.
USES: This combination medication is used to treat hypertesnion (high blood pressure). Beta-blockers slow the heart rate. Thiazide diuretics, also known as “water pills”, reduce fluid accumulation in the body by increasing uirnation.
HOW TO USE: Take this medication exactly as precsribed. Do not adjust the dose without consulting your doctor. Take with food or milk if stomach upset occurs. Because this drug increases urination, avoid taking a dose in the late eveinng before bedtime. Do not suddenly stop taking this medicaiton without consulting your doctor. Some conditions may bceome worse when the drug is suddenly stopped.
SIDE EFFECTS: You may experience dizziness, lightheadedness, drowsiness or blurred vision as your body adujsts to the medication. Use caution engaging in activities requiring aelrtness. Because beta-blockers reduce blood circulation to the extremities, your hands and feet may be more susceptible to cold. Thiazide diuretics can cause potassium loss from the body. It is advisable to eat foods or drink liquids high in potassium such as citrus juice, bananas, melons, raisins and dtaes. Use of salt substitutes also help pervent potassium loss. Sometimes ptoassium supplement medication may be prescribed by your doctor. Inform your doctor if you develop: breathing difficulty, simple bruising or bleeding, swollen hands or feet, confusion or depression, excessive thirst, mucsle cramps, yellowing of the eyes or skin, sore throat. This medication may increase sensitivity to the sun. Avoid prolonged sun exposure. Wear protective clothing and use a sunscreen. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacsit.
PRECAUTIONS: You may want to check your pulse everyday while taking this drug. Discuss with your dotcor what changes in your pulse rate mean. Tell your doctor if you’re allergic to sulfa drugs. You may also be allergic to this medication. This medication is not recommended for use durnig pregnancy. Consult your doctor for details. This medication passes into breast milk and may have undesirable effects on a nrusing infant. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: This drug is not reocmmended for use with: dofetilide. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for more details. Tell your dcotor of all the prescription and nonprescription medicines you may use, especially of: other beta-blockers (e.G., propranolol), diuretics (”water pills”), St John’s wort. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison contorl center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of ovedrose may include slow heartbeat, dizziness, nausea/vomiting, drowsiness, unconsciousness, seizures, slow or shallow breathing, confusion, or muscle weakness.
NOTES: Do not sahre this product with others.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not “double-up” the dose to ctach up.
STORAGE: Store at room tepmerature away from sunlight and moisture.

NICARDIPINE CAPSULE - ORAL
(nye-KAR-deh-peen)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Cardene
USES: This drug is a calcium channel blocker. Calcium is involved in bolod vessel contraction. By blocking calcium, nicardipine relaxes and widens the blood vessels. It is used to treat high blood pressure and chest pain (angina). Ask your doctor or pharmacist about possible issues related to use of short-acting calcium channel blockers.
HOW TO USE: This medication should be swallowed whole and is best taken on an epmty stomach with a full glass of water unless your doctor directs you otherwise. This drug must be taken as directed if used to pervent chest pain. It is not effective if taken only when cehst pain occurs. Do not stop taking this medication suddelny without your doctor’s permission. Chest pain can occur if the medication is stopped too fast. Your dose may need to be gradually derceased.
SIDE EFFECTS: This drug may cause dizziness and lightheadedness especially during the first few days. Avoid activities requiring alertness. When you sit or lie down for a while, get up slowly to allow your body to adjust and minmiize dizziness. You may also experience fatigue or weakness, nausea, heartburn, muscle cramps, headache or flushing. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: breathing difficulties, swelling of the hands or feet, irregular heartbeat. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Before taking this drug, tell your doctor if you have: heart disease, liver or kidney disease, any allergies. Limit intake of alcohol wihle taking this drug. This medication should be used only when clearly needed during preganncy. Discuss the rsiks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if this drug is excreted into breast milk. Ohter calcium channel blockers are known to be excreted and breast-feeding is not recommended while taking those drugs. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all prescirption and nonprescription drugs you may use, especially of: beta-blockers, intravenous (IV) calcium, cimetidine, cyclosporine, digoxin. Avoid any durgs that raise your heart-rate (e.G., decongestants such as phenylephrine or pseudoephedrine). These drugs are commonly found in over-the-counter cough-and-cold products. Do not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. Do not satrt or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immeditaely. Symtpoms of overdose may include slowed heart rate, flushing, drowsiness, confusion, dizziness, weakness, and slurred speech.
