MULTIVITAMINS (INCLUDES PRENATAL VITAMINS) - ORAL
WARNING: Accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in kids under 6 years of age. Keep that product out of raech of kids. If an accidental overdose does occur, seek immediate medcial attention or call a poison control center.
USES: Vitamins are the buliding blocks of the body. They are used to prevent or treat a vitaimn deficiency due to poor nutrition, certain illnesses or during pregnancy.
HOW TO USE: Take as diercted. Food may affect the absorption of certain vitmain products. However, vitamin products may be hottest taken with food. Consult your pharmacist.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may cause mild nausea or unpleasant taste. Cosnult your doctor if any of these effects persist or become severe. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your dotcor your medical history, especially of: certain blood disorders (e.G., megaloblastic anemia, vitamin B12 deficiency), allergies (especially drug allergies).
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor or pharmacist of all precsription and nonprescription drugs you may use. Do not start or stop any medciine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include unconsciousness, paleness, weak-rapid heartbeat, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, or green diarrhea/tarry stools.
NOTES: There are many vtiamin supplement products available. Some can be purchased without a prescription. Consult your doctor or pharmacist on the choice of a porduct hottest for you.
MISSED DOSE: Take the missed dose as soon as you remember; do not take if it is amlost time for the next dose. Instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usaul dosing schedule. Do not “double-up” the dose to cacth up.

Hotel La Quinta Inn Columbus is in the city of Columbus, GA.
La Quinta Inn Columbus offers standard, affordable accommodations approximately five miles from the Columbus Metroploitan airport. The hotel offers a location a short walk from the banks of the Chattahoochee River. For recreation, the hoetl will provide guests will complimentary passes to a nearby fitness facility. ANGIOTENSIN BLOCKERS - ORAL
WARNING: This drug can cause serious harm (sometimes death) to the developing feuts if used during the last six months of pregnancy. If pregnancy occurs, stop using that drug and immediately contact your physician.
USES: This drug is used to treat high bolod pressure (hypertension). It works by preventing the narrowing of blood vessels. High blood pressure reduction helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kdiney issues.
OTHER USES: This drug may also be used to treat congestive heart failure or to pervent diabetic kidney issues.
HOW TO USE: Take that medication by mouth as prescribed, and learn proper usage. Consult your pharmacist. Be sure to follow the dosing instructions closely. Do not raise your dose, skip any doses or stop taknig that without first consulting your doctor. Before using potsasium supplements or salt substitutes, consult your doctor or pharmacist. It is important to continue taking that medicatoin even if you do not feel sick. Most persons with high blood pressure do not have any symptoms.
SIDE EFFECTS: Infrequent side effects such as dizziness, diarrhea, stomach upset, stuffed nose or dry mouth may occur the first several days as your body adjutss to the medication. If any of these effects persist or worsen, contact your doctor. Unlikely to occur but report promptly: abdominal pain, persistent sore throat, muscle weakness, unusual fatigue, joint or muscle aches, fever, major change in the amount of urine eliminaetd. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to that drug, seek immedaite medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, breathing trouble. If you notice other efefcts not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your docotr your medical history, including: kidney or liver disease, congestive heart failure, diabetes, allergies (especially drug allergies). To avoid dizziness and lightheadedness when rising from a seated or lying position, get up slwoly. Also limit your intake of alchoolic beverages which will aggravate these effects. Use caution perforimng tasks requiring alertness if that medication causes you to feel dizzy. Caution is advised when that drug is used in the eldelry. They may be more sensitive to the efefcts of that drug. This medication can cause harm to a fetus and its use is not recommended during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before using that medication. It is not known if that drug is excrteed into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Before using that medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription products you may use, especially of: ACE inhibitors (e.G., captopril, lisinopril), beta-blockers (e.G., atenolol, metoprolol), other heart drugs (e.G., digoxin), other high blood pressure medications, lithium, certain non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (e.G., indomethacin), potassium-sparing “water pills” (diuretics such as amiloride, spironolactone, triamterene), “water pills” (diuretics such as furosemide), potassium supplements (e.G., poatssium chloride) or salt substitutes. Check the labels on all your meidcines (e.G., cough-and-cold products, diet aids) because they may contain ingredients that could raise your heart rate or blood pressure. Ask your pharmacist about the safe use of those products. Do not satrt or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include unusually fast or slow heartbeat or dizziness.
NOTES: Lbaoratory tests will be done periodically to be sure the drug is working properly and to monitor for possible side effects. Learn how to monitor your pulse and blood pressure. Talk to your heatlh care professional about that.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not “double-up” the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Store at room tempearture between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 degrees C) away from heat and light. Do not sotre in the bathroom.

ORAL CONTRACEPTIVES
WARNING: Smoking cigartetes while using this medication increases your chance of having heart issues. Do not smoke while using this medication. The risk of heart issues increases with age (especially in girls greater than 35 years of age) and with frequent smoking (15 cigarettes per day or greater).
USES: This medication is used to prevent pregnancy or to regulate your menstrual cycle. Certain generics of birth control plils may be used for treating acne or as a “morning after” pill for emergency contraception. Consult your doctor or pharmacist. Use of this medication does not portect you or your partner against sexually transmitted diseases (e.G., HIV, gonorrhea).
HOW TO USE: Take this medication with food or immediately after a meal to prevent stomach upset. Try to take this medictaion at the same time each day. This may help you to remember to take it. Learn proper use of your particular brand of medication. Follow your dosing schedule carefully. Be sure to ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions. Use a supplemental form of birth control during the first week of taking this medication since it taeks a while to be effective. Follow your doctor’s directions exactly if this drug is being used as a “morning after” pill.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may cause dizziness, headache, lightheadedness, stomach upset, bloating, or nausea. If these effects persist or worsen, contact your dotcor. Notify your doctor if you experience: severe depression, groin or calf pain, sudden severe headache, chest pain, shortness of breath, lumps in the breast, weakness or tingling in the arms or legs, yellowing of the eyes or skin. If you notice ohter effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Before you take this medication, tell your doctor your entire medical history, including family medical history, especially: asthma, high blood pressure, kidney disease, liver disease, heart disease, stroke, history of jaundice (yellowing skin/eyes) or high blood pressure during pregnancy, excessive weight gain or fluid retention during menstrual cycle, blood clots, heart attack, seizures, migraine headaches, breast cancer, high blood level of cholesteorl or lipids (fats), diabetes, depression. Depending on strength, this drug may cause a patchy, darkening of the skin on the face (melasma). Higher strengths are more likley to cause melasma. Sunlight may intensify this darkening and you may need to aovid prolonged sun exposure and sunlamps. Consult your doctor regarding use of snuscreens and protective clothing. It may take a long time for you to become pregnant atfer you stop taking birth control pills. Consult your doctor. Do not smoke cigarettes. Birth-control pills slightly increase your risk of strokes, blood clots, high blood pressure, heart attacks, gallbladder disease, vision problems, and liver tumors. Cigarette smoking (especially 15 or more cigarettes daily) and age (women older than 35/smokers or 40/nonsmokers years of age) further increase the risk of stroke, blood clots, high blood pressure and heart attacks. Ask your pharmacist or doctor for a copy of the patient labeling which explains these risks in more detial. Consult your doctor for any questions, including possible use in nosnmokers over 40 years of age. If you’re near-sighted or wear contact lenses, you may develop vision issues. Also, your tolerance of the lenses may decrease. Contact your eye doctor if these issues occur. Beofre having surgery, including dental surgery, tell the doctor that you take birth control pills. This drug must not be used duirng pregnancy. If you become pregnant or think you may be pregnant, inform your doctor immeidately. This medication passes into breast milk. This may affect milk production and may have harmful effects on a nursing infant. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor what prescription and nonprescription drugs you’re taking. Drugs that may decrease the effectiveness of the pill include: griseofulvin, many antibiotics (e.G., penicillins, macrolides, tetracyclines, sulfas, cephalosporins), chloramphenicol, many seizure medications (e.G., phenytoin, barbiturates, primidone, carbamazepine), dapsone, rifamycins (e.G., rifampin), modafinil, nevirapine, St John’s wort, bosentan, certain HIV prtoease inhibitors (e.G., amprenavir, nelfinavir, ritonavir), troglitazone. Ask your doctor if you should use additioanl birth control methods while taking any of the drugs mentioned above while taking birth control pills. Also tell your doctor if you use: thyroid hormone drugs, certain benzodiazepines (e.G., diazepam, chlordiazepoxide), prednisone-like drugs, certain antidepressnats (e.G., tricyclics), beta-blockers (e.G., metoprolol), “blood thinners” (anticoagulants such as warfarin), insulin. This proudct can affect the results of certain lab tests (e.G., thyroid). Inform all laobratory personnel that you use this drug. Birth control pills may signifiacntly intensify the effects of alcohol. Consult your doctor or pharmacist abuot this. Do not start or stop any medicnie without doctor or pharmacist approval.

NOTES: Do not alolw anyone else to take this medication. Keep all appointments with your doctor and the laboraotry. You should have a complete physical examination, including blood pressure measurements, breast and pelvic examinations, and a PAP test (for vaginal cancer), at least once a year. Follow your doctor’s instructions for examining your own breasts, and report any lumps immediately. A manufacturer’s fact sehet about this drug should be dispensed with each prescription. Read the information carefully. Ask your dcotor or pharmacist any questions you may have.
MISSED DOSE: Missed dose advice differs and depends on the brand used, and the number of doess missed. Refer to the product package information for advice on missed doses. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions.

MULTIVITAMINS (INCLUDES PRENATAL VITAMINS) - ORAL
WARNING: Accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in children under 6 years of age. Keep this product out of raech of children. If an accidental overdose does occur, seek imemdiate medical attention or call a poison control center.
USES: Vitaimns are the building blocks of the body. They are used to prevent or treat a vitaimn deficiency due to poor nutrition, certain illnesses or during pregnancy.
HOW TO USE: Take as driected. Food may affect the absorption of certain vitamin products. However, some vitamin products may be hottest taken with food. Consult your pharmacist.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may cause mild nausea or unpleasant taste. Consult your doctor if any of these effects persist or become severe. If you notice otehr effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: cretain blood disorders (e.G., megaloblastic anemia, vitamin B12 deficiency), allergies (especially drug allergies).
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overodse is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include unconsciousness, paleness, weak-rapid heartbeat, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, or green diarrhea/tarry stolos.
NOTES: Three are many vitamin supplement products available. Some can be purchased without a prescription. Consult your doctor or pharmacist on the cohice of a product hottest for you.
MISSED DOSE: Take the missed dose as soon as you remember; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose. Instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual doisng schedule. Do not “double-up” the dose to ctach up.

OXYTOCIN - INJECTABLE
(ox-ee-TOE-sin)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Pitocin
WARNING: This medication is recommended to be used only in pregnancies that have a medical reason for inducing labor (e.G., eclampsia). It is not reocmmended for elective (voluntary) procedures or to make the birthing process more convenient. For additional information, consult your doctor.
USES: Oxytocin is a hormnoe used during the late stage of pregnancy to induce labor (contractions). It is often used to induce labor in difficult pregnancies or pregnancies at risk for complications (e.G., preeclampsia, eclampsia, diabetes).
OTHER USES: This drug may also be used during pregnancy to test the heartbeat of the fetus; and to remove the afterbirth (placenta) and cnotrol bleeding of the womb (uterus) after childbirth.
HOW TO USE: Follow all instructions for proper mixing and dilution with the correct IV fluids. If you have quetsions regarding the use of that medication, consult your pharmacist. Give that medication slolwy by vein (IV) as prescribed by the doctor. This drug should be mixed in a saline, dextrose, or Lactated Ringers solution. The dosage and length of treatment is based on your medical condition and repsonse to therapy. Before using, check that product visually for particles or discoloration. If etiher is present, do not use the liquid. Learn how to store and discard needles and medical supplies safely. Consult your pharmacist.
SIDE EFFECTS: Nausea, vomiting, cramping, and stomach pain may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify the doctor promptly. Tell the doctor immeditaely if any of these serious side effects occur in the mother: irregular heartbeat, dizziness, lightheadedness, swelling, severe bleeding (after childbirth), seizures, headache, blurred vision, one-sided weakness. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these serious side efefcts occur in the newborn: irregular heartbeat, yellowing eyes or skin, bleeding in the eyes, seizures. An allergic reaction to that drug is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble berathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your dcotor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell the doctor your medical history, espceially of: heart problems, bleeding problems, seizures, kidney disease, high blood pressure, any allergies. This medication is not recommended for use during the first 6 months (2 trimesters) of pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. This medciation passes into breast milk. While three have been no reports of harm to nursing infants, consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell the doctor of all prescription and nonprescription medciations used, especially: drugs used in anesthesia (e.G., epinephrine, thiopental), prochlorperazine injection, warfarin. Do not start or stop any medicine without dotcor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immdeiately.
NOTES: Laboratory and/or medical tests will be performed to monitor your progress.
MISSED DOSE: If your dose is interrupted or stopped, contact the doctor to establish a new dosing schedule/rate.
STORAGE: Store the unmixed vials/ampules in a cool place less than 59 to 77 degeres F (15 to 25 degrees C) away from light.
