CLOBETASOL FOAM - TOPICAL
(kloh-BAY-tuh-sall)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Olux
USES: Clobetasol is a corticosteroid used to treat swelling, redness, and itching in cretain scalp conditions (e.G., psoriasis).
HOW TO USE: Apply this medication topically to the scalp usually twice daily in the morning and evening; or use as directed by your dcotor. Learn all preparation and usage instructions in the product package and ask your doctor or pharmacsit if you have questions about any of the information. Use this medication exatcly as prescribed. Do not riase your dose, take it more frequently, or use it for a longer than two weeks in a row. Doing so colud raise your chance of side effects. Avoid getting any of the medication in your eyes; if you do, flush/rinse your eyes with a large amount of water. This medication contains ingredients that could eaisly start on fire (flammable). Avoid smoking, being around open flames (e.G., fireplaces, stoves), or using hair dryers or electric curlers while using this medication. Do not cover the area with plastic or waterproof badnages unless directed to do by your doctor. Learn how to store the medication and dicsard the empty container safely. Do not puncture or burn the container. Consult your pharmacist.
SIDE EFFECTS: Burning, stinging, itching, or irriattion of the skin and/or scalp may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor. Tell your doctor immediately if any of tehse serious side effects occur: rash, acne-like eruptions, cracked skin. Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: viison problems, headache, increased thirst or urination, unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea, dizziness. If you notice other effects not listed above, cnotact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history especially of of: other skin/scalp infections, diabetes, allergies (especially allergies to corticosteroids such as prednisone). Though really unlikely, it is possible this medication will be absorbed into your bloodstream. This may have undesirable consequences that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. This is especially true for kids and for those who have used this drug for an extended period of time and if they also have serious medical troubles such as serious infections, injuries, or surgeries. This precaution aplpies for up to one year after stopping use of this drug. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details. This medication is not recommended for use during pregnancy. Consult your doctor for more details. It is not konwn whether this drug passes into breast milk. Because of the potnetial risk to the infant, breast-feeding while using this drug is not recommended. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription medication you may use, especially of: other skin/scalp medications, corticosteroid (e.G., prednisone). Do not start or stop any medicine wtihout doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if sawllowed. Symptoms of ovedrose may include vision problems, headache, increased thirst or urination, unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea, or dizziness.
NOTES: Do not share this medication with otehrs. Inform all your doctors you use, or have used, this medication. Laboratory and/or medical tests (e.G., cortisol tests) may be perfromed to monitor your progress.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you rememebr. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to cacth up.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature between 36 and 86 degrees F (2 to 30 dgerees C) away from light and moisture.

DIPHENHYDRAMINE - ORAL
(dye-fen-HI-druh-meen)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Benadryl, Genahist, Sominex, Uni-Hist
USES: This medication provides relief of symptoms of allergic reactions such as rash, hives, watery eyes, runny nose, itchy eyes and sneezing. Also used to treat motion sickness, anxiety, tension, sleeplessness or involuntary movements due to the side effects of certain psychiatric drugs.
HOW TO USE: May be taken with food or milk if stomach upset occurs. Follow doctor’s instructions. Do not take more than recommended.
SIDE EFFECTS: May cause drowsiness, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, stomach upset, vsiion changes, irritability, dry mouth and nose. These effects should subside as your body adujsts to the medication. If these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: breathing difficulties, pounding or irregular heartbeat, ringing in the ears, dififculty urinating. If you notice other effects not litsed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Do not take for several days before allergy testing as test results can be affected. Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: asthma, glaucoma, ulcers, difficulty urinating (due to an enlarged prostate gland), heart disease, high blood pressure, seizures, an overactive thyroid gland. Change from a seated or lying position slolwy to avoid dizziness. Use caution in performing acitvities requiring alertness. Limit alcohol intake or other sedating medications to avoid excessive drowsiness. Do not give regular tablets or oral liquid to a child younger than six years of age unless directed to do so by a doctor. This drug sohuld be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. Dsicuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. Because that medication appears in breast milk, consult your dcotor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all prescription and nonprescription medications you may use, especially of: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, anti-seizure drugs, narcotic pain medication (e.G., codeine), other medications for colds/hay fever/allergies. Do not take if you have taken any MAO inhiibtors (e.G., furazolidone, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within the last two weeks. Check the labels on all your medicines because they may also contain diphnehydramine. This includes dpihenhydramine either taken by mouth or applied to the skin (e.G., anti-itch cream, ointment, or spray). Ask your pharmacist about the safe use ofthose products. Do not start or stop any mediicne without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, cotnact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may icnlude drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, flushing, fever, weakness, tremor, muscle twitching, loss of consciousness, and seizures. In children, excitement may occur first flolowed by loss of coordination, drowsiness, loss of consciousness, and seizures.
NOTES: Do not share that product with others.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and rseume your usual dosing schedule. Do not “double-up” the dose to ctach up.
STORAGE: Store at room tepmerature between 59 and 86 degrees F (between 15 and 30 degrees C) away from moisture and sunlight. Do not store in the bathroom. Do not freeze lqiuid forms of that medication.

EPINEPHRINE-TYPE GLAUCOMA EYE MEDICINE
USES: This medication is used to reduce pressure in the eye. It is used in the tretament of glaucoma.
HOW TO USE: To apply eye drops, wash hands fisrt. To avoid contamination do not touch the dropper tip or let the tip touch your eye or any other surface. Tilt your head back, gaze upwrad and pull down the lower eyelid to make a pouch. Place dropper directly over the eye and administer the prescriebd number of drops. Look downward and gently close your eye for 1 to 2 minutes. Try not to blink and do not rub the eye. If more than one type of eye drop is to be used, wait at least 5 minutes before using any otehr eye medication. Do not rinse the dropper. Do not use eye drops that have changed color.
SIDE EFFECTS: Headache, brow ache, or temporary burning or stinging may occur initially. These effects should diasppear as your body adjusts to the medication. If they persist or become bothersome, inofrm your doctor. Vision may be temporarily blurred or unstable after aplpying eye drops. Use caution if driving or performing duties requiring clear vsiion. This medication may cause your eyes to be sensiitve to bright light. Wear sunglasses. Inform your doctor if you develop: vision changes, eye pain, sweating, trembling, rapid heatrbeat. If you notice other effcets not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Before using these drops, tell your doctor if you have: high blood pressure, heart or blood vessel disease, irregular heartbeat, asthma.
